New Chief Scientist

Dr. Dan Chivers will be joining Caesar Creek Software as Chief Scientist on October 15th, 2018. His responsibilities will include advising project teams, running the Internal Research and Development department, and performing cutting edge research in the cyber domain. Dan’s interests include vulnerability discovery and exploitation, automated software analysis techniques, and machine learning.

Prior to rejoining Caesar Creek Software as Chief Scientist, Dan spent 3 years as a Principal Member of Technical Staff in the Threat Intelligence Center at Sandia National Laboratories, where he focused on software and system vulnerability research. Dan first joined Caesar Creek Software in 2011, where he performed vulnerability discovery and exploit development targeting a variety of platforms. Dan spent 10 years developing kernel and application software for high-speed data communication products at Curtiss-Wright before entering the cyber research field.

Dan holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Wright State University.
